Trip by the Numbers:
Total number of miles driven in the RV: 2233
Total average steps recorded: 160,979 (GP 168,882 and Jen 153,076)
Number of great memories made: Countless đ
And so it endsâŠ
We picked up camp and put everything away one last time this morning. The final camp cleanup included doing things to prep the RV for storage until the next trip; draining and flushing tanks and generally securing things. There is plenty of cleanup now that we are home and the repairs / upgrades to-do list has gotten quite long.
In total, the trip was going to be 21 days, but an unexpected positive COVID test cut two days off the end. Over the 19 days, we drove, walked, hiked, biked, waded through water, bussed, off-roaded, rafted, and jet skied our way through the Southwest! We had a few challenges as well; not being able to get the Jeep out of neutral and unhitched from the RV, on day 7 the âcheck engine lightâ on the RV came on, the physical and mental challenge of hiking Angels Landing in Zion, and Jen getting sick. We pivoted when we had to, and we made the best of everyday. There are things we would have done differently (chosen different campgrounds in some places, spent more time in Moab, brought way less food!). Overall, it was a great trip, and we look forward to being on the road again.
This morning, we got on the road at about 10:30am and continued towards home. A fuel stop in Lost Hills and a store stop for more tissues and COVID tests in King City were the only breaks. Fortunately, GPâs COVID test came back negative. 358 miles later, we pulled into our driveway! Three kitties were very happy to see their Mama. A big thank you to Mina, our house sitter who took good care of them and the house in our absence.
Until our next stopâŠ

Sounds like all in all a wonderful trip!! Welcome home!!
